Grand Piano XXL is a free virtual piano instrument plugin (ROMpler) featuring a sampled Yamaha C5 6'7" Grand Piano.
The original samples (Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license) were recorded by Alexander Holm [axeldenstore (at) gmail (dot) com] with two AKG c414 condenser microphones placed in an AB position at around 12 centimeters above the strings.
All the samples were captured in 48kHz 24bit audio quality with 16 velocity layers which are all present in this virtual plugin, hence the 1.19 GB size on disk. The keys release samples are also added in Grand Piano XXL.
There's also a smaller version with only 4 velocity layers, called Grand Piano.
The GUI is simple and intuitive with attack & release controls, reverb module, and gain. In the middle, there's a "Tremolo" section with LFO rate & depth for pitch, expression and pan, plus filter cutoff with selectable lowpass/highpass. You will also notice a "Key" knob - that's the gain for piano keys release.

Another important thing
Norton may treat the .dll file (which is the plugin file) as a malicious file and may delete it. This is a false alarm that often happens not only to us but to all plugin makers that share their plugins as .dll files.
A solution for us would be to share our plugins through installers, but we want to be transparent for people to really see what we distribute.
Grand Piano XXL works within DAWs or other plugin hosts loaded on Windows 8.1/10. You will need 1.19 GB of hard drive space.
The download size is 682 MB (compressed ZIP file, you will need to extract the files).
A macOS version will be added in the near future.
